The Chairman of Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State, Hon. Lukman Afolabi, has congratulated the Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa I, on the occasion of his birthday, describing the monarch as a father figure and a symbol of unity for the people of Ede.
Afolabi, in a personally signed congratulatory message, lauded the reign of Oba Lawal, noting that Ede has witnessed remarkable peace, stability and development under his leadership.
He said, “Kabiyesi’s reign has brought enduring peace and visible progress to Edeland, and his leadership continues to unite our people across all divides.”
According to him, the monarch’s wisdom, humility and commitment to progress have continued to inspire confidence among residents, traditional institutions and stakeholders across Edeland.
“His fatherly disposition and deep sense of responsibility to the people have strengthened trust in traditional leadership,” Afolabi added.
The council boss also appreciated the Timi of Edeland for his consistent support for the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, stressing that the monarch’s cooperation with government has contributed significantly to grassroots development and good governance in Ede and Osun State at large.
“Kabiyesi has always stood with the government in advancing development and ensuring peace at the grassroots,” he said.
Speaking from a personal standpoint, Afolabi expressed deep gratitude to the royal father for his guidance, moral support and wise counsel, which he said have played a crucial role in shaping his leadership journey and public service career.
“Kabiyesi has been a father to me, offering direction, encouragement and prayers whenever they were most needed,” he stated.
He further noted that the monarch’s influence reflects that of a caring father who prioritises peace, unity and the overall wellbeing of his people.
“His words of wisdom and calm interventions have helped me remain focused on service and accountability,” Afolabi said.
Afolabi prayed for long life, sound health and continued strength for Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa I, expressing confidence that his reign would continue to usher in greater prosperity, harmony and development for Edeland.
“May Almighty Allah grant Kabiyesi many more years on the throne in good health and wisdom,” he concluded.
