WESCOSA Defeats WASA

Wesley College Old Students Association, WESCOSA 1982 set has defeated Wesley All Stars Ambassadors, WASA with 5-3.
The 40 minutes match commemorating the 40years anniversary of the set saw Kunle Adegoke of Wesley All Stars Ambassadors,WASA, opening the score record ten minutes into the match but equalized by Wasiu Ewu of WESCOSA a minute later.
Babatunde Lana, Julius Agunloye, Dr Robinson Okosun and Femi Obisesan urshered the host team to lead table with four goals scored by each of the players while Salaudeen Wasiu and Akinwande Akin of WASA added two goals to their early first goal.
WESCOSA fourth scorer who also head of psychology unit of Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, Dr Robinson Okosun explained that sporting activities prioritized by management of Wesley college in their early school days was the reason behind their sport talents discovery, victory in the match and successful life endeavours.
Speaking on the outcome of the match, the coach, Wesley All Star Ambassador, WASA, Mr Sanusi Tajudeen, said the match was a novelty meant to celebrate and honour the host team.
President of the 1982 set of WESCOSA, who is also, the former Assistant director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr Femi Oladipo said the travails of his set characterized by repeated entrance examination in 1979 replicated at graduation in 1982 while also surviving life hurdles 40 year ago underscored the need for the celebration.
Mr Oladipo said a record office valued at about two million naira had been put in place to demonstrate their give back mechanism to their alma mater.
