Chairman, Ede North Local Government, Hon. Taiwo Amodu, gave the advice at the swearing in of the newly elected councillors across the eleven wards in the council area.
The chairman further admonished the lawmakers to view their present position as a clarion call to serve their people and urged them to be good representatives of their various wards by ensuring that dividends of democracy reach the door-steps of their people.
The council chairman further stressed the need to extend the hands of friendship to all and sundry for maximum co-operation fulfilling the mandate given to his administration by the electorate.
Honourable Amodu stressed the imperative for unity and oneness of both the executive and the legislature in delivering dividends of democracy to the people in the Local Government.
Reacting, the new local government law makers in Ede North appreciated the Majority Leader, Akogun Babajide Kofoworola, the party, the new chairman and the career officers for establishing cordial relationship during their almost eleven months stay in office.
He also promised maximum support for the current administration to record landmark achievement.
The event, had attracted political big wigs, council officials, families and friends of the councillors.
