EDU Mourns Jonathan Adeleke

The Ede Descendants Union (EDU) has received with deep sorrow the news of the glorious home call of Late Chief Jonathan Adeleke, a revered administrator, seasoned educationist, community leader, and father to many, including the Director of Omowumi Continuing Education Services, Dr. Keji Adeleke.

Though the loss is painful and profound, we join the family, associates, and the entire education community in giving glory to God for a life well spent in service to humanity.

In a statement signed by its
President, Professor Ademola Olaitan, National Secretary, Dr Lawal Nurein, and National PRO, Mrs Teniola Oyebanji, EDU described late Chief Adeleke as a teacher of teachers, a role model, a devoted Christian, and a trailblazer whose impact transcended classrooms and institutions.

His commitment to education, moral uprightness, and community development remains indelible in Ede land and beyond. He lived a fulfilled life marked by discipline, mentorship, and selfless service.

EDU extends its heartfelt condolences to Dr. Keji Adeleke, the Adeleke family, Omowumi Continuing Education Services Management, staff, students, and all those touched by Baba’s exemplary life.

We pray that Almighty God grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and that His divine comfort abides with them at this trying time.

We take solace in the assurance that Baba has joined the triumphant saints, having laboured diligently in God’s vineyard and in the service of mankind.

Until his death, the late Chief Jonathan Adeleke, who was a former Principal, Baptist High School, Abepe, Ede was an active member of Ede Council of Elders.
