Members of the Press Club of Baptist Secondary Grammar School (BSGS), Ago-Are, Atisbo Local Government Area of Oyo State, have paid a visit to Pensioners 106.7 FM, Ibadan, describing the station’s style of broadcasting as inspiring and impactful.
The visit followed the club’s participation at the Oyo @ 50 opening ceremony.
Speaking during the visit, a teacher of the school, Mr. Ajayi Albert, commended Pensioners FM for its professionalism, clarity of programmes and people-oriented content.
Some of the students said the visit had broadened their understanding of radio broadcasting.
Responding, the General Manager of Pensioners FM, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, appreciated the students for their outstanding performance at the state anniversary event and used the occasion to educate them on the role of radio in informing, educating and entertaining the public.
Dr. Tiamiyu encouraged the students to remain disciplined, curious and committed to learning, describing them as future leaders and ambassadors of their school and communities.
The visit further highlighted Pensioners FM’s commitment to community engagement and youth development through media education and mentorship.
