For his high intellectual prowess and enduring commitment to social welfare and human capacity development, Barrister Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, a prominent legal practitioner and an Oyo State governorship aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been honoured by the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, ADS, Eleyele Branch, Ibadan Oyo state.
The award ceremony, held at ADS Mosque, Eleyele Area Ibadan during the 30th Anniversary Grand Finale and Award ceremony organised by the Branch.
According to the ADS Eleyele Branch Chairman, Alhaji Ismail Olatinwo, they were celebrating Agbaje’s contributions to education, community upliftment and his acts of philanthropy to individuals,groups and societies.

Alhaji Olatinwo described Barr. Agbaje, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ibadan Branch, as a silent achiever, whose philanthropic efforts have focused on education with provision of scholarships and facilitating training for indigent students across Oyo state and beyond.
The Society also commended the Awardee for his legal aid through free legal services to indigent citizens and the less privileged, as well as Infrastructure supports to communities and improvement of local social amenities.
Responding, Barr Agbaje represented by a former Secretary, Ibadan Southwest Local Government, Hon. Adetayo Lawal, expressed profound gratitude to the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Eleyele Branch, describing ADS as an organisation that has for over 100 years remained a “premier faith-based organisation” dedicated to education and social progress.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the state’s development, promising to intensify his support for community-driven projects.
“Our mission must remain the empowerment of our people,”. “Whether through legal advocacy or direct community intervention, I remain resolute in my promise to support the growth of Oyo State and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every household”.
Barr. Agbaje continues to be viewed as a top APC contender for the 2027 gubernatorial race ticket in Oyo State.
His supporters have described his approach to leadership as rooted in strategic thinking and emotional intelligence, which has earned him respect across both professional, political and religious divides.
