The Bayo Adelabu Foundation, BAF, has held the Batch B of its Empowerment and Economic Relief Programmes for people of Oyo State.
In the second phase of the programme, Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu again dashed out over One Hundred Million Naira to a cross section of youths and some members of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State.
At the Empowerment programme held at Bayo Adelabu Foundation Office, Jericho, Ibadan, was attended by APC Leaders, across the geopolitical zones of the State.
Chief Adelabu, a 2027 Governorship Aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, assured party members of his readiness to serve the State with integrity and bring dividends of democracy to all the residents, through some new initiatives.
The Minister, who announced that, Nine Hundred and Ninety party members including youths, women and leaders from all the Local Government, got a Hundred Thousand Naira each, enjoined members to be proactive by ensuring that Oyo state return to APC come 2027.
Reacting, Oyo State APC Youth Leader, Mr Oyetunji Aremu, State Women Leader, Alhaja Tinuade Adigun and One of the Leaders of the Party, Alhaji Ajisafe described Chief Adebayo Adelabu as a man that always walk his talks and a politician who has been using his resources to uplift members of the party and Oyo State residents irrespective of their political affiliation.
Guest Lecturer at the event,who is also a Political Scientist, University of Ibadan, Associate-Professor Stephen Lafenwa, who spoke on the theme; Beyond Politics: Survival Strategies for Party Stakeholders, commended Chief Adebayo and APC in Oyo State for giving priority to the welfare of the public and its members across the State.
Dr. Lafenwa advised the beneficiaries of the Empowerment and Economic relief Programme to invest it in productive ventures with a view to making their lives better.
Speaking on the significance of the Empowerment exercise,Spokesperson for Bayo Adelabu Foundation, BAF, Comrade Femi Awogboro, noted that the intervention Programmes were designed to as a long – term economic development model which is beyond a political gesture.
Comrade Awogboro also reiterated that BAF is investing in financial discipline, entrepreneurial re – orientation and sustainable income models to reduce poverty beyond occasional reliefs.
In attendance were Chairman of the All Progressives Congress,APC,Oyo State, represented by the Party’s Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Olannite, Party Leaders, Chief Kunle Sanda, Alhaji Isiaka Alimi, APC State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Olawale Sadare and other Party Executives.
Recall that Chief Adebayo Adelabu had recently empowered Farmers, Artisans and Traders with the sum of over One Hundred Million Naira each to boost their businesses.#
