The Ede Elders Council (Igbimo Agbaagba Omo Ilu Ede) has congratulated one of its sons, *Major General Kamal Yusuf on his retirement from the Nigeria Army after an unblemished service to the nation.
The President, Ede Elders Council, Alhaji Sulaimon Ademola Adebayo said the Elders are proud of General Yusuf’s distinguished career and achievements peaking at the enviable rank at which he gloriously retired.
In a release jointly signed by Alhaji Moshood Adeniyi, the Secretary and Chief Ayodele Adeyemo, the Publicity Director of the Ede Elders Council, Major General Yusuf was commended for his accomplishments and patriotic contributions to Nigeria, saying all of these “are well acknowledged by Ede sons and daughters as a good representation of your family and Ede, your birth place. The honour is for us all. You remain an icon for our youths to emulate.”
At the home front, the Ede Elders Council noted with pride the massive renovations carried out by General Yusuf at L. A. Primary School, Alusekere Ede, his alma mater. “Also, we are proud of the first – in – town, state of the art and gigantic international edifice, Western Sun International Hotel built by you. It is one of the edifices that has situated Ede on the global map. This is a testament of your worthy patriotism to your home town.”
The elders urged him to be involved and active in all matters that may be designed for more transformation of Edeland.
“We pray Almighty God to give you a blissful and blessed retirement. We also assure you of our unflinching support”, the Ede Elders Council enthused.
