30th Anniv.: ADS to Honour Agbaje, Other Personalities

After 30 years of dedicated service to Almighty Allah and humanity, all is set for the grand finale of the 30th-anniversary celebrations of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Eleyele Branch, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Speaking to journalists regarding the week-long festivities, the Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Alhaji Sulaiman Balogun, confirmed that while activities had begun on Monday, the celebration will continue on Friday (today), with a special Jumu’ah service, leading up to the main event on Sunday.

The grand finale will feature a Fidau session to honour the memory of deceased members who had played crucial roles at different times in the development of the branch.

The day will also serve as a platform to recognize excellence, with awards being presented to several distinguished personalities.

Among the awardees are one of the APC governorship aspirants in Oyo State, Barr. Akeem Agbaje, Professor Abdulrasheed Awodoyin, and Alhaji Mumin Ajala.

Reflecting on the milestone, the Branch Chairman, Engineer Ismail Olatinwo, expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for sustaining the society over the past three decades.

He commended the founding fathers’ vision and appreciated the unwavering support of current members, urging them to remain committed to the branch’s future growth through prayer and active participation in its activities.

The press briefing was attended by several notable figures, including one of the founding members, Alhaja Sherifat Ogunyemi, a former ADS National Vice President, Alhaji Waheed Ajao, Branch Secretary, Alhaji Jeleel Omoloye, Branch Secretary, and Mr. Abdulwaheed Yakub, the Anniversary Organising Committee Secretary.
