The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has urged broadcasting stations to uphold professionalism by adherence to the Nigeria Broadcasting Code, warning against biased reporting and defamatory contents.
During a courtesy visit by Ayekooto 88.3 FM’s General Manager, Otunba Babatunde Tiamiyu, to Osun State NBC Officer Mr. Akinkunmi Akinwale, NBC called for the media to prioritize national development.
Earlier, Otunba Tiamiyu who pledged the station’s commitment to ethical standards, proposed collaborative, regular knowledge-sharing sessions between the regulator and station staff.
Otunba Tiamiyu assured the nation’s broadcasting watchdog of Ayekooto FM’s due diligence and respect for professionalism in both contents and broadcasting.
