In a groundbreaking move to revolutionize West Africa’s agricultural and production sectors, the Canadian Centre for Raw Materials Display Inc (CACERMDI) has embarked on a massive registration, targeting farmers and producers of everyday goods across the west African nations.
This ambitious initiative, spearheaded by its subsidiary company CACERMDI NIG LTD, aims to formalize and streamline the participation of local farmers and producers in the region’s resource-rich economies.
Speaking on the initiative at the headquarters of CACEMDI in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, the president of CACERMDI Osagie Leo Ekhaguere fondly called President Leo, stated that, the company being an offtaker of farm produce and other finished goods is ready to purchase specific quantity of products or commodities from sellers with contractual agreement and purchase products in large quantities to resell them to other buyers.
“CACERMDI plays crucial role in the supply chain by providing a guaranteed market for sellers, while entering into a contractual agreement with them to enable them secure a stable and predictable income stream, which will also be beneficial to the company with a reliable supply of products to meet their business needs”. He said
Emphasising on the need for farmers and producers to register their products with CACERMDI, through their website cacermdi.ca, President Leo noted that the registration would facilitate farmers and producers access to international markets, enabling them to tap into global trade opportunities.
He also said that it would ensure tracking the origin and movement of their products to guarantee food safety and quality.
“As a responsible organization, we want to ensure that all products bought or collected from farmers and producer as offtaker meet regulatory requirements and specific standards, thereby boosting credibility and marketability. And I also want to assure our stakeholders of transparency, efficiency, and sustainable supply chain to ultimately benefit consumers, farmers, and the economy”.
President Leo enjoined farmers and producers to take advantage of the registration to enhance their businesses growth, which would in turn increase forex inflow into Nigeria’s economy and other West African economies, contributing to economic growth and stimulating economic activity.
He further revealed that the registration drive was poised to provide numerous benefits to participating farmers and producer of goods, including access to essential resources, market linkages, and technical assistance.
