Community Leader Mama Abimbola Ayangunna Laid to Rest in Ibadan

The remains of a community leader in Adelubi – Asaaju, Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mama Elizabeth Abimbola Ayangunna nee Ajijola have been laid to rest at her residence in Asaaju Community, Molade, Iwo Road, Ibadan.

In a sermon, the General Secretary, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Egbeda Local Government, Reverend Amos Adeniran, urged individuals to live virtuous life through service to God and humanity.

Reverend Adeniran described the late Mama Ayangunna as a woman after God’s heart.In a tribute, the husband of the deceased, Reverend Lekan Ayangunna, said his late wife was an irreplaceable asset throughout their over 50 years of marital journey.

Two among the children of the late Mama Ayangunna, Dr. Adekemi Omotubora and Mr. Deji Ayangunna, described their departed matriarch as an exemplary mother, a counselor and a heroine who dedicated her life to humanity.

The immediate younger brother of the deceased who is the Director of Studies, University of Commerce and Administration, ESCAE, Port Novo, Benin Republic, Dr. Isaac Ajijola, described his late sister as a great friend of Christ and a family unifier.

Aged 73, the late Mama Elizabeth Abimbola Ayangunna nee Ajijola who died on Sunday 7th of this month, was survived by her husband, Reverend Lekan Ayangunna, children and grandchildren.
