Chairman of the 2024 Ede Day, Hon. Lukman Afolabi (Abere Soose) has said that this year’s township celebration will present a number of discovered talents like David Adeleke aka Davido to the world.
Hon. Afolabi made this known during a press conference held at the palace of Timi of Edeland on Monday.
Ede Day, a culture heritage annual celebration attracts attendees from all walks of life and across the world.
Commenting on the newly discovered talents through a special program tagged Talent Hunt, Afolabi lauded all participants who joined the contest from different states in Nigeria.
He, however, said the winners will be presented to the world and they will be rewarded.
He, therefore, called on Ede youths to rally round leaders of the town to ensure that development that Ede is currently experiencing does not stop.
According to Afolabi “To our teeming useful youths, together, we can create a brighter future that benefits not only our community but also Osun state and the nation at large.”
Highlighting program for the 2024 Ede Day, he said “Our celebration’s main highlights include: Cultural acts: Gbagede Timi, Talent Hunt, and more captivating acts that showcase the city’s rich cultural legacy.”
Afolabi also lauded Asiwaju of Edeland, who doubles as Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke for his visionary leadership, and commitment to infrastructure development, education, health, agriculture, and tech innovation. “We are proud of your unselfish devotion and steadfast commitment to the state’s progress. I appreciate you being a great example of responsible governance and caring leadership, Mr. Governor’s hope future generations are inspired by your legacy.”
