Nigerian workers deserve better welfare – Akeem Agbaje

As Nigeria is celebrating workers day, government and other employers of labour have been urged to prioritise the welfare of workers, in order to, reduce the hardship ocassioned by the present economic downturn.

An Ibadan based Legal icon and All Progressives Congress,APC, Chieftain, Barr. Akeem Agbaje, in his May Day message by his Media Unit, mentioned poor wages, high cost of living and in conducive working environment as part of the challenges being faced by Nigerian workers.

He noted that many of these problems have negatively affected workers’ productivity and their zeal to function effectively for state and national development.

Barr. Agbaje however appealed to the states and federal government to recruit younger workers as replacement for retired workers,while soliciting for more training for workers to be 21st Century compliant.


The legal icon urged Labour Unions to always speak with one voice in demanding for their right.
