The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into deep mourning following the death of popular Nollywood actress and producer, Allwell Ademola, who passed away at the age of 43.

Ademola reportedly died on Saturday, December 27, 2025, after suffering a heart attack at her residence in Lagos, a development that has sent shockwaves across the entertainment community.

Earlier in the day, concerns had emerged over her health when a neighbour raised an alarm via a WhatsApp group, indicating that the actress was receiving medical attention at a clinic in Agege, Lagos. Hours later, news of her passing filtered through, confirming the fears of colleagues and fans alike.

Adding to the heartbreak, Ademola had shared a reflective post on social media shortly before her death, expressing hope and prayers to witness the end of the year, a message that has since taken on a haunting significance.

Widely respected within the Yoruba film industry, Ademola was known for her versatility, emotional depth, and commanding screen presence.
