Minister of Power, and 2027 Oyo State Governorship Aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has put smiles on the faces of about one thousand Traders, Artisans and Farmers across the State with over One Hundred Million Naira Empowerment programme to support their business.
The programme was held at his Bayo Adelabu Foundation centre located at Jericho, Ibadan, the State capital with thousands of people including APC Executive and leaders in attendance.
Chief Adelabu said, the project formed part of his ‘2025 Mega Empowerment and Economic Relief Programme Series’ to alleviate suffering of the masses drawn from the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State.
Addressing the beneficiaries,the minister who commended President Bola Tinubu for his reforms,noted that, the effects of the economic reforms of the President have started yielding positive results in various sectors across the Country.
The 2027 Governorship Aspirant urged Nigerians to rally their support behind President Tinubu who he described as God-sent to the nation to right the wrongs of many years.
According to him the empowerment programme has no about political undertone, but to appreciate God for His mercy, and a way of giving back to the Society which made him.
At the programme, Oyo State Artisans Association, Oyo State Market Women Association and Oyo State Farmers Association received 33 Million Naira each with 10 Beneficiaries from each of the 33 Local Government Areas of the State.
Chief Adelabu also gave the Leaders of each Association, One Million while another one million was also given to each Association for transportation to and from the venue.
Responding,Leaders of Traders Association in Oyo State, Alhaji Yekini Abass, Alhaji Sumaila Jimoh, Chief Labake Lawal and the President, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, AFAN, Oyo State, Engineer Olumide Ayinla commended Chief Adelabu, popularly known as Penkelemesi, for his golden heart towards citizens and residents of Oyo State, describing him as a lover of the masses.
They prayed for his success in his political aspiration.
Earlier, a Financial Consultant, Mr Olutayo Akinloye counselled the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money to boost their businesses and not to be diverted on frivolity.
