MTG Engages NOA on Public Enlightenment Drive

The Media Transformative Group MTG has paid a courtesy visit on the State Director, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Oyo State Directorate, Mrs Ajolayo Akande.

The visit according to the group was part of its resolve to foster greater collaboration with government ministries, agencies and parastatals in Ibadan, Oyo State.

‎‎The Chairman of Media Transformative Group, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, alongside the Creative and Publicity Director of the group, Mr. Stephen Adedigba, made this known during an interactive meeting with Mrs. Akande and her Management Team.

‎Dr. Tiamiyu and Mr.Adedigba who are also General Managers of Pensioners FM and Omoluabi FM spoke about the group’s plan to organise intensive training sessions for media practitioners, a proposal which sparked exchange of developmental ideas between the management staff of NOA and members of MTG.

‎Reacting, the Oyo State NOA Director, Mrs Akande expressed displeasure over what she described as the condescending attitude of some media personalities towards the organisation and her activities, and others who always cast aspersions on the agency at any opportunity.

Contributing, some of the NOA’s management staff also noted that the presence of numerous broadcast media organisations in Oyo State, makes it difficult for the agency to interface with every station inview of paucity of understanding and logistics challenges.

‎The Directorate however, encouraged members of the MTG to continue in the pursuit of their vision,to enhance professionalism in the broadcast media sector.

‎Both organisations also discussed ways and modes of working together to ensure more effective public enlightenment.

‎Dr. Tiamiyu also used the opportunity to appreciate the State Director for her involvement during the group’s inaugural event held in October, 2025, which formed part of activities marking the  65th independence anniversary of Nigeria.

‎On the entourage of the group included the group’s Vice Chairman and General Manager Adamimogo FM, Mr. Joshua Adegbite,JP, Secretary and General Manager I-fliers FM, Prince Adejare Amuda, and Welfare Officer and Head of Station, Crest FM, Ibadan, Mr. Olaide Abioye.
