Cheshire High School Old Students Renovate Six Classrooms

Oyo state government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment toward supporting initiatives that will promote quality education in schools across the state.

Oyo state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Honourable Segun Olayiwola made this known at the inauguration of six renovated classrooms and two laboratories at Cheshire High School, Sango area of Ibadan, built by Cheshire High School Old Students’ Association, CHSOSA.

Represented by the Local Inspector of Education, Ibadan North local government, Mr Akorede Adewusi, Honourable Olayiwola reiterated government efforts in the development of quality education through collaborative efforts with stakeholders in the sector.

Honourable Olayiwola therefore commended CHSOSA for its remarkable contribution to its Alma Mata, through investing in the renovation of the six classrooms and two laboratories.

On his part, President of CHSOSA, Mr Babajide Abatan said the motive of the association is to advance the educational system of the school through the provisions of infrastructure that would enhance the learning of students.

Mr Abatan urged the students to make use of the facilities for academic purposes.

Earlier, Principal of Cheshire High School, Mrs Sekinat Tijani lauded CHSOSA’s initiative of giving back to their Alma Mata and promised adequate maintenance of the facilities.

Some of the students appreciated CHSOSA for the gestures and promised to emulate the initiative in the future.
