Obtaining Quranic education has been described as an important learning process for fostering character, spirituality, and a connection to God.
An Islamic Scholar, Dr. Olalere Shittu stated this while speaking as a Guest Lecturer at the 2025 Quranic Leaning Graduation “Walimotu Quran” ceremony by Model Centre for Teaching Arabic Language, Orogun, Ibadan.
Dr. Shittu while congratulating the Centre, graduands and their parents noted that, Quranic education provides moral guidance based on the Quran’s teachings which helps individuals to develop a strong moral compass, gain a deeper understanding of their faith.
On his part, the Special Guest on the occasion, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, who is also the General Manager of Pensioners FM, Ibadan, emphasised on the need for parents to prioritise Arabic and Quranic education alongside western education to equip them with the needed knowledge to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and inner strength.

Dr. Tiamiyu also appreciated the Proprietress of the Model Centre for Teaching Arabic Language, Alhaja Nafisat Hassan, the management and staff of the centre for their efforts towards leading the younger generation towards the path of faith, morality and life of integrity.
While appreciating those who have supporting her quest to imparting sound Islamic education and faith teaching to the young minds, the proprietress, Alhaja Hassan solicited the assistance of philanthropists and Islamic organisations for the completion of the Centres permanent site.

A total number of eight students who completed the various stages of their Quranic studies were presented with certificates and other significant items
Highlights of the event include; recitation from the Quran, Guided and follow up readings of the Quran and special prayers for the graduands, their parents and the Centre.
