The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) has issued a public warning against the unauthorized sale or transfer of a parcel of land belonging to the corporation, located along Idi-Ape–Bashorun Road in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The warning was contained in a statement signed by the Director General of FRCN, Mohammed Bulama, in which the corporation disclosed that certain individuals and groups were falsely presenting themselves as having authority to sell or transfer ownership of the property.
FRCN clarified that it has not approved, authorized, or delegated any individual or group to dispose of the said land, stressing that any transaction carried out in that regard is illegal, null, and void.
The corporation cautioned members of the public to avoid engaging in any form of transaction involving the property without proper verification from FRCN management, noting that unsuspecting buyers risk financial loss and legal consequences.
According to the statement, anyone found to be involved in the unauthorized sale, purchase, or transfer of the property would be prosecuted in line with existing laws.
FRCN further advised prospective buyers and the general public to exercise due diligence and confirm the authenticity of any claim relating to FRCN property through the appropriate authorities.
For enquiries or verification, the corporation directed the public to contact the Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan, and urged residents to report any suspicious activity concerning the property to security agencies.
The corporation reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its assets and warned that it would take all necessary legal steps to prevent fraudulent dealings involving its properties.
