The National President of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Prince Mosediq Kazeem (SAN), has urged the Oyo State Government to allocate land for the establishment of a comprehensive Islamic centre.
Prince Kazeem made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Bayo Lawal, as part of his one-day visit to the Oyo ADS Council.
He said the proposed centre would serve as a multi-functional hub integrating Islamic and Western education, vocational training, youth development programmes, conflict resolution initiatives, and social services.
The ADS President also called on Governor Seyi Makinde to fast-track the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy for the Summit University campus land in Kajola Local Government Area, noting that the move would accelerate institutional development.
Responding, the Deputy Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde, assured that the requests would receive due attention, adding that the administration remains open to initiatives that promote education and social development.
Earlier, the Chairman of ADS, Oyo State Council, Alhaji Gbolagade Aminu and the Council’s Secretary, Alhaji Mutiu Alade, commended the national leadership for prioritising members’ welfare, highlighting the recent donation of a generator.
As part of the visit, the ADS delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Abdul-Ganiyy Agbotomokekere, who was represented by the Mogaji Agba of Ibadanland, Imam Waheed Rufai.
