Oluyole LG Boss Advocates Stronger Collaboration Among Communities

The Chairman of Oluyole Local Government in Oyo State, Honourable Akeem Olatunji has advocated adequate cooperation of various communities in order to actualize an enviable development of the area.
He gave the charge while speaking through his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ali Babalola at the anniversary of the Community Development Association of Egbeda-Atuba, Ibadan.

Hon Olatunji said the harmonization of efforts in various communities would help the Local Government Council in its vision for infrastructural development of their areas.
The Chairman commended the Community Development Association in Egbeda-Atuba led by Alhaji Amidu Lamolo for the untiring efforts in nurturing the Community Secondary School and the complimentary role in the provision of electricity as well as security in the area.

Earlier, the Patron of Egbeda-Atuba Descendants Union, Sir Johnson Akintayo had lauded the Community Development and the Parents Teachers Association of Community Grammar School, Egbeda-Atuba for the socio-economic growth being recorded in the area.

Represented by the Public Relations Officer of the Descendants who is also a veteran Journalist, Deacon Femi Oladipo, Sir Akintayo implored the Executives of Oluyole Local Government Council to vigorously pursue the extension of tarring of the road from Ayetoro to Egbeda-Atuba and other areas like Ashanike, Olaogun and Elese-Erin villages to link Ogun State through ljebu Igbo.

Sir Akintayo recalled that Egbeda-Atuba Community has produced several notable personalities in the history of lbadanland.

These personalities include the Proprietor of lbadan Boys High School, Oke Bola, lbadan, the Late Chief Timothy Oyesina, a former Director News of Radio Nigeria, Prince Dotun Oloyede – Ashanike, one time Chief lnstructor of Army Band Headquarters Ojo, Lagos, Major Gboyega Oladipo and a former President-General of CCII, Chief Adeyemi Sholadoye who had his Basic School Education in the village while the current Consul-General in China, Ambassador Gbadebo Afolabi hailed from Egbeda-Atuba Community.

Sir Akintayo pleaded with authorities of Oluyole Local Government Council to help the community in the area of security and problem of Land Grabbers affecting the peace of residents in the area.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of Awards to three members of the Executives of the association including Alhaji Amidu Lamolo, Chief Suleiman Ashanike and Belau Alado.
