Gloria James Foundation Pledges Support for Vulnerable Persons

The Chief Executive of a Non-Governmental Organisation, Gloria James Charitable Foundation, Mrs. Gloria James has pledged zero tolerance towards abuse of the elderly, widows and the girl child.

Mrs James who is a social – welfare activist made the pledge in Ibadan at the official launching of her NGO and 50 million naira fund raising for construction of its elderly care home project.

According to Mrs James, the NGO would work with relevant government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure inclusiveness of the vulnerable in the society, especially the ederly, widows and the girl child.

On his part, Chairman, Gloria James Charitable Foundation, Engineer Adeniran Ajibade called on all stakeholders to support the initiative and work towards achieving a society that is beneficial to all.

Earlier, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin represented by Agbaaki Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Emiola Onideure reiterated his commitment towards the development of the NGO.

Some of the beneficiaries lauded the initiative and prayed for the continous existence of the organization.

Highlights of the event were medical checkup, lectures and cultural dance display.

Gloria James Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization has its focused on addressing needs of vulnerable populations in Oyo State and Nigeria, particularly elderly, widows and the girl child.
