Tembelekun Ajoji is a village with not just a fertile landmass but also a fecund politics, spreading from the Sahara to the Atlantic.
During dry season, the Sahara bears its fang, sending gust of cold winds, which swarm across the Savannah to the coastal regions, triggering blisters on feet and lips.
And truly, the wind from the Sahara has been behaving to type.
However, a twin wind is gathering dusts from the Sahara too: posers fly about with Its gusts.
Its epicentre is triangular: KKB
It is no longer news that Nasir El-Rufai has ditched APC. But wait a minute, it was not without consultation! Hear from the horse’s mouth.
He said, “There are certain people that before I do any major thing or make any decision, I consult, and anything they ask me not to do, I don’t do, and former President Muhammadu Buhari is among them.
Nod from Buhari? A banger and cracker, you might call this!
A storm gathering from Kaduna; hope Daura will not soonest become a Mecca of some sort.
At the moment, there seems to be studied silence from APC National Secretariat
Did I hear someone mouth anti party activity?
Not yet, or perhaps it is thought better to apply the military tradition: you don’t drag senior military officer, even a retired one.
Baba from Daura is one, and to cap it, a former head of state, immediate past president, an elder statesman and party big stalwart, bla bla bla.
Abacha, on his part, threw such decor to the wind, scooping Baba Iyabo, a retired top military brass, former head of state, and slamming him inside gulag.
Baba, however, had the last laugh, escaping death by the whiskers, when some strange apples found their way into Aso Rock.
However, Baba has not been so lucky with some mouths in the current dispensation.
Nigerians surely must be all hears waiting to hear from a NWC.
Back home in El-Rufai’s backyard, a rapprochement has unfolded.
Shehu Sanni, remember the Twitter or X.com man is back in APC in the camp of El-Rufai’s former ally and protege, Uba Sanni.
So has Senator Danjuma Laah, a former governor, Ramalan Yero, and the governorship candidate of the NNPP in the 2023 governorship election in the state, Suleiman Hunkuyi.
Call it an igneous formation ahead of 2027 against possible tsunami from APC.
Peter Obi appears suddenly on the scene for a tet-a-tet in Bauchi with the states’ helmsman, Bala Mohammed, who is also PDP Governors Forum leader.
This will surely get tongues wagging! Obi ala PDP or what?
Hear the Spokesman of Obi/Datti and Director of Media, Labour Party (LP), Yunusa Tanko.
“So, therefore, he is interested strongly in a merger that is driven by ideology and a programme. But if it’s only for the purpose of power, he is not interested,”
Thoughts must be swirling around the heads of Labour Party leaders, “Where do we go from here,”
What about the Articulate, anyone in PDP dare sideline him?
Turakin Adamawa is no stranger to political permutation and chess game.
The dye is yet to be cast. Let us sidon look, apology to late Cicero from Esa Oke.
Anything looming from the Atlantic? Hmm, just lull at the moment, save for local drizzles in Osun and Rivers.
Perhaps it is because the hand that holds the sceptre is down South, so men waiting to muster the wind from the Atlantic remain glued to their binoculars gauging the winds from the Sahara.
