The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the World’s First Labour Radio Station, Pensioners FM 106.7, Ibadan, Oyo State, Comrade Olusegun Abatan, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Balogun Gaphar Babatunde Ojetola on his forthcoming conferment as the Grand Ambassador of Ibadan Culture (GAIC) by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
The esteemed honour will be conferred during the grand finale of the 2025 Ibadan Cultural Festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan.
In a congratulatory statement made available to newsmen, Comrade Abatan lauded Balogun Ojetola’s selfless contributions, describing the recognition as a well-deserved honour that reflects his steadfast commitment to cultural advancement and community development.
He particularly praised Balogun Ojetola’s outstanding leadership as the Chairman of the Planning Committees for the 2022 and 2024 editions of the Ibadan Cultural Festival, noting that his efforts have significantly elevated the status of the festival and projected Ibadan’s heritage to global acclaim.
Comrade Abatan further described Balogun Ojetola as a noble son of Ibadanland, whose dedication to the preservation of tradition and values remains a source of inspiration to many.
He prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and favour for Balogun Ojetola as he assumes the new cultural mantle, expressing confidence that his tenure as Grand Ambassador of Ibadan Culture will usher in greater unity and progress for the city.
