The Media Transformative Group (MTG), a collective of reputable broadcasters, broadcast journalists, intellectuals, and leaders of radio stations in Oyo state has endorsed the 4th edition of an Annual Media Convergence tagged ” Primus Media Conference 4.0 holding on Friday in Ibadan.
According to a statement by the group’s Secretary and General Manager, i -flier FM, Ibadan, Mr. Adejare Amuda, the annual event being organised by an Ibadan based media hub, Primus Media City got the support of members of MTG while playing host to Primus Programmes Coordinator, Mr. Isreal Babalola who came around to handover the conference support attire requested by the Group for its members.
Speaking on behalf of the group, its chairman and General Manager, Pensioners’ FM, Ibadan, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu lauded the founder of Primus Media City, Mr. Samuel Afouda and his team for their unrelenting efforts towards ensuring professionalism among media players, while encouraging the media outfit not to rest on its Laurel.
Responding, Primus Media City Programmes Coordinator, Mr. Isreal Babalola commended the initiator and members of MTG for coming up with the idea of having such strategic forum towards ensuring understand standing and collaboration among radio station managers in Oyo state.
MTG comprises General Managers from six radio stations: Crest FM Ìbàdàn, Pensioners FM Ìbàdàn, I-Flier FM Ìbàdàn, Adamimogo FM Ìbàdàn, Omoluabi FM Ìbàdàn, and Vintage FM Ìbàdàn.
The group’s objectives include strengthening broadcast production and practices, enhancing growth and feasibility of the member stations, and creating opportunities for revenue generation,talent development and employment.
MTG according to its members is aiming at positively impact the community and media landscape beyond Ibadan and Oyo State.
Primus Media Conference 4.0,with the theme: “Flaming Influence Fueling Change”,holds on Friday 5th of September, 2025 from 10 am at IACD, American Corner, Jericho Ibadan, Oyo state.
Among the Keynote Speakers and Panelist expected include, A legal Icon and Politician, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, a Lawyer & Media Executive, Monisola Tayo – Oyetibo, Investigative Journalist, Fisayo Soyombo,foremost activist, Omoyele Sowore , and an Ibadan based Broadcast Journalist, Chike Ogbogu
