UMIGA Celebrates Mould Nabiy with Inmates

The University of Ibadan Muslim Graduates Association has celebrated this year’s Maolud Nabiy with the Muslims Inmates at Agodi Correctional Centre Ibadan.

The group led by its National President, Alhaji AbdulMojeed Imran felicitated the inmates and urged them to be steadfast, prayerful and hopeful in their aspirations to regain freedom soonest.

Alhaji Imran also advised them to view their present situation as a trial while urging them to embrace the prophet’s virtues of endurance, humility and unshakable faith, even in their present situation.

In his sermon, the National Missioner of UIMGA, Alhaji Luqman Adebayo, encouraged them to make use of the lesson of the occasion to obliged to the dictates of Almighty Allah and emulate the teachings exhibited during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad.

He emphasized on the need for them to be God fearing, loyal to themselves, the constituted authorities and the nation at large.

Imam Adebayo however, highlighted the importance of seeking day to day forgiveness to hasten their release and freedom from bondage.

The Authority of the Correctional Centre appreciated UIMGA leadership and members, for their selfless serviceto humanity
They thanked the association for the donation of Food items to the Inmates in the correctional centre.
The National Secretary UIMGA, Alhaji Babatunde Lawal,thanked the authorities of the centre for accommodating the group.
During the closing prayer was offered by one members,Alhaji Shamsudeen Adewusi, he prayed to Allah to give the nation’s leadership the needed devine wisdom to guide the ship of the country aright from the current challenges of Insecurity and economic downturn.
