The city of Lagos was agog with glitz and glamour as a Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) Specialist, Mrs. Aderonke Akinola-Akinwole, popularly known as TRIPLE A, celebrated her 40th birthday in grand style.
No doubt the celebration of Mrs. Akinola-Akinwole’s 40th birthday, served as a momentous occasion to honour her impactful career in child and women-centered health promotion and development, as top health education consultants and the celebrant’s working partners from all walks of life came in their numbers to honour their own.
From clerics , including Muslims and Christians to Project facilitators and media executives at the venue, all highlighted her expertise in evolving Communication for Development (C4D) which developed into the broader SBC framework, focusing on human-centered interventions that address child morbidity and mortality.
Goodwill messages from the Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Ministry of Information, Mr. Rotimi Babalola, and some senior officials across Ministries of Information in the Southwest States emphasised on how the advocacy Impact of Mrs. Akinola-Akinwole has been encouraging youth participation.
They said Mrs. Akinola-Akinwole has been able to engage over 5,000 young people through capacity building and social media dialogue
All her efforts they said have fostered the youths mindset shift to become Immunization Champions and create employment opportunities.
The Southwest MOI officials unanimously acknowledged her recent collaborative efforts with government bodies, including the Edo State Government, to renew commitments toward maternal and child health interventions.
While acknowledging the contributions of her parents, husband,children and working partners contributions to her career journey, the celebrant appreciated God as the pillar of her existence and achievements.
Highlights of the well attended events included cutting of the birthday cake, special prayers for the celebrant and her family, presentation of gifts to the celebrant by well wishers, including Pensioners FM, represented by the General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu and a special rendition of Oyo state anthem by the state’s SBC Team led the state’s SBC Consultant, Mr. Samuel Olatunji.


The event was also spiced by a command performance by comedian Daddy Nuel and a live Band.
