Taoreed Abdulsalam Weds Mariam Babatunde-Adisa in Ede

The ancient town of Ede in Osun state had celebrated a beautiful union as family, friends, and well-wishers gather for the Nikkai of Moh’dTaoreed Abdul salam of Adeonu Compound and Mariam Babatunde – Adisa of Adegbile dynasty

The solemnization of their marriage, rooted in Islamic tradition marked the beginning of a new chapter of life for the couple.

Delivering the Nikkai sermon, a popular Islamic Cleric in Osun state,Shiek Abdullahi Olohunlomerue, described marriage as a sacred contract and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammed for spiritual tranquility, love and mercy, establishing a family as the bedrock of society.

Shiek Olohunlomerue emphasised that marriage in Islam as means of fulfilling physical needs lawfully, ensuring chastity, and promoting piety through righteous offspring.

Guests at the event were also reminded that marriage journey should be in an atmospher of immense maturity, love, joy and spiritual growth.

The ceremony featured a formal exchange of vows, emphasizing the values of love, patience and mutual respect in Islam, as well as presentation of marriage Certificate to the new couple by the Imam of Irepodun Ike Anobi Adegbile – Mogba Mosque, Ede Osun state, Al – Imam Adam Ibrahim.

Speaking on behalf of the two families, the bride’s father, Mr. Musbaudeen Babatunde – Adisa urged the couple to embrace the purpose of marriage in Islam, which he described as companionship to build a home full of peace and love.

While appreciating Allah on behalf of himself and his spouse, for making their love journey climaxing into a marriage,the groom, Mr. Taoreed Abduldalam, appreciated their parents, family members and friends for their support towards the success of the day.

Mr. Abdulsalam emphasised that their journey would be built on islamic tenets, love and understanding to build an ideal islamic home.

The Nikkai was followed by a reception which featured cutting of the wedding cake and presentation of gifts to the couple.

Among dignitaries at the event included a Lagos based Legal Practitioner, Barr. Rotimi Aderibigbe, Ede North Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Amodu and the council’s Legislative Members.
