The Ede Descendants Union (EDU) warmly felicitates with all Christians in Ede, both indigenes and residents on the joyous occasion of Christmas.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the National President of the union, Professor Ademola Olaitan, the National Secretary, Dr. Lawal Nurein, and the National Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Teniola Oyebanji.
The union described Christmas as a season that highlights the values of love, peace, sacrifice, and hope for humanity, and a time to reflect on unity, tolerance, and compassion, which have continued to define Ede as a peaceful and progressive community where people of different faiths coexist harmoniously.
The union, speaking on behalf of the Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa I, commended the Christian community in Ede for their contributions to the growth, stability, and moral development of the town, noting that their prayers, hard work, and commitment to peaceful living remain invaluable to the overall progress of Edeland.
As Christians celebrate the sacred season, the EDU urged all residents to embrace love for one another, promote peaceful coexistence, and extend kindness to the less privileged in the true spirit of Christmas, stressing that Ede must continue to stand as a model of religious harmony and communal unity.
The union also prayed that the Christmas celebration would usher in renewed hope, good health, prosperity, and lasting peace for all Christian families and the entire people of Ede.
