IMG Old Students Give Back to Alma Mater

As part of efforts to support their Alma mater, the Old Students Association of the 1982 set, Ibadan Municipal Government, IMG, Primary School, Mokola, Ibadan, has distributed academic materials to the pupils of the school.

The gesture which was part of the Annual End of the Year Event by the members of the Alumni worldwide took place within the school premises, attracted teachers, students and other stakeholders.

The association’s president, Mr. Babajide Abatan, highlighted that the gesture was aimed at giving back to their alma mater and encourage the current pupils of the school.

Mr. Abatan expressed the association’s commitment to supporting the educational development of young learners and fostering a culture of giving among alumni.
He also hinted that the grand finale was coming up next week at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, which will include a round table discussion with the representative of Oyo State government and other relevant stakeholders, on the future of the School.

Speaking on behalf of members of staff, one of the senior teachers of IMG Primary Schools 1,2and 3, who craved anonymity, extended their gratitude to the 1982 set alumni for their efforts towards bringing the school back to its early days of glory.

She also appealed to the state government and key stakeholders in the education sector to support the school, particularly in improving security and infrastructure for both the students and the teachers.

Two pupils of the school while appreciating the alumni for the kind gesture, appealed to the state government and other relevant agencies to give their school a new lease of life in order to make it conducive for effective learning.

Highlights of the events included games, dancing competition and music by a disc jockey.
