The need for governments, examination bodies and other stakeholders to embrace technology such as Close Circuit Television, CCTV and other modern electronic innovations for examination supervision to curb malpractices has been reiterated.
A monitoring and evaluation officer at National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB, Dr. Christine Udoh-Emokhare gave the advice during an interview on the use of technologies in checkmating examination frauds.
According to Dr. Udoh-Emokhare, such an Initiative would go a long way in reducing examination malpractices among students and accomplices.
The education evaluation and counsel expert also emphasised on the need for the government to allocate more funds for the use of technology in augmenting human efforts in the nation’s examination processes.
Dr. Udoh – Emokhare however advised children writing examinations to always study very well while preparing instead relying on shortcuts which may land them into trouble and jeopardise their future.
