The commendation and burial mass for late Mrs. Agnes Omokhule Emokhare-Gold, were on Friday, held at the St. Cyprians Catholic Church, Oke Ofa Babaasale, Oluyoro, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Mrs. Emokhare-Gold passed away at the age of 60 during a protracted illness.
The event, which was attended by a gathering of family, colleagues, friends and neighbours, was a testimony to her impactful life as a devoted wife, mother, and woman of unwavering faith.
In a sermon, younger brother to the deceased, Reverend Father Christopher Emokhare, said people should live a pious life, be at peace and friendly with everyone like their late sister, whom he described as an embodiment of love and care.
He appreciated Mr. Timothy TM, an old friend of the deceased who stood by the deceased throughout her trying time.
Speaking on behalf of the families, the immediate younger brother of the deceased, who is a former General Manager, Diamond FM, University of Ibadan,and now a senior reporter with Daily Herald of Saskatchewan, Canada, Dr. Paul Emokhare, in an emotional ladden tone said their sister has finished her race of life well and has gone to be with her creator.
Dr. Emokhare added that the late Mrs. Emokhare-Gold, would forever be remembered for living a life commited to family values and welfare of those around her.
The eldest daughter of the deceased, Miss Nnena Ukpai, on behalf of her sibling, Ifedayo described their mother as a dedicated woman to the welfare of her children.
She also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received during their difficult time from family and friends.
Her remains were later interred at the Church’s Cemetery located at Okebadan.
The late Mrs.Agnes Emokhare-Gold who died on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, is survived by her children, friends and relatives.
